The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) held a virtual College and Career Fair recently. This year’s theme was “Together Towards Tomorrow” and exhibitors included several sponsors of the 2021 AISES National Conference, which took place Sept. 23-25 in Phoenix, Arizona.
AISES bills the conference’s career fair as the “largest in the U.S. for Indigenous students and professionals” with exhibitors from a range of corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, Tribal Nations, Tribal enterprises, and Indigenous-owned businesses.
Attendees included high school and college students, along with professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers. The three-day event focused on educational, professional, and workforce development for Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in STEM studies and careers.
AISES works to substantially increase the representation of Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in STEM studies and careers. Click here for more on the National Conference Highlights.
