CES 2020 unveiled the next generation of innovation that will redefine industries, solve challenges, and create jobs. According to the trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), transformative technologies at this year’s event in Las Vegas include 5G, artificial intelligence, vehicle technology, and digital health. CES 2020 runs through Friday, January 10.
“The innovation on display this week at CES embodies the drive and passion that fuels our industry and furthers economic growth on a global scale,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the CTA. “The entire tech ecosystem is here at CES 2020, and the products and technologies launching this week will inspire, connect and change lives for the better.”
The Global Tech Challenge, presented by CES and the World Bank Group, focuses on health, gender barriers and technologies that enable communities to be more resilient in the face of disasters and climate change. CES and the World Bank Group also collaborated on conference programs at CES 2020 with content focused on the intersection of technology and development.
Quibi CEO Meg Whitman and Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg gave a first look at their mobile-first entertainment. Quibi is reported to have debuted an engineering breakthrough in video streaming and user experience.
The full week of innovation kicked off on Sunday and Monday with Media Days, CTA’s 2020 Tech Trends to Watch presentation, CES Unveiled Las Vegas, conference programming at the ARIA and preshow keynotes from Samsung and Daimler.
