Gabriela A. González is a leading member of the Intel Latino Network and Women at Intel. She is also a member of the nation’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Advisory Panel, and serves as chair of the inaugural STEM Education Advisory Panel meeting held at the National Science Foundation on Sept. 12.

As a member of the STEM Education Advisory Panel, González provides advice and information on STEM education research, development, training, professional development or workforce needs or concerns. Members of the panel serve for up to a three-year term.
As Intel’s Foundation deputy director, González collaborates with stakeholders across Intel, as well as partners in academia, government, industry, and non-profit agencies to drive K-12 science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and women and girls STEM strategies.
Prior to this role, González managed Intel’s strategic relationships and academic programs with U.S., Europe, and Latin America research universities. Her responsibilities included advancing university programs and curriculum development.
Throughout her career, González has held several engineering roles at Intel, as a process engineering group manager,
transferring the latest microprocessor technology from development to manufacturing. As an industrial engineering manager, she was responsible for equipment capacity, labor, and operational productivity.
González began her professional career at Xerox Corp., where she held various manufacturing, engineering and management positions. She holds a Master’s degree in engineering and manufacturing management from Clarkson University and a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology at Arizona State University.
