San Diego State University’s executive director of Career Services has issued tips and advice on career development for those entering the job market. According to the SDSU News Team, James Tarbox said the class of 2019 is entering a job market where the rules of recruiting have changed. Even in a strong employment market, the estimated 10,300 graduates from San Diego State will need to re-tool how they prepare to manage their careers, the executive director of San Diego State University’s Career Services said.

Part of a cohort of nearly two million new bachelor’s degree recipients nationwide, Tarbox had three tips for a head start.

1. Identify your career focus and be flexible with your strategy.
2. Become career ready and commit to this as a lifelong process.
3. Understand the university recruiting landscape has changed.

SDSU Career Services also announced a  month-long series on career development this June for May 2019 graduates.
