POSTED ON Mar 09, 2021

Applications for Prospanica Foundation scholarships opened on March 1. Designed for undergraduates and postgraduates who want to make contributions to society, the foundation is looking for students who are eager to share their influence across the Hispanic community.

According to the website, since the organization’s founding as the National Society of Hispanic MBAs in 1988, they have hosted career and professional development conferences connecting thousands of Hispanics to graduate programs, subject matter experts, corporations, and each other. The National Society of Hispanic MBAs rebranded as Prospanica in 2016.

Over the last two decades, Prospanica has given over $8 million in scholarships for graduate education. Scholarships range from $2,000 to $5,000 for individual applicants.

The preliminary round of the 2021 scholarship application program opened March 1 and the deadline is April 14. ‍ Applicants invited to the second round will have until June 9 to complete the full application. Click here to learn more.

At least 21% work in accounting and finance (21%), with 11% in marketing, media, and communications, and 10% in information systems and technology.

The majority of members have three to six years of professional experience (25%), while 20% have spent seven to 10 years in the workforce. More than 15% have 11-15 years of experience and 12% have spent at least three years in the workforce.
