As a way to celebrate Native American Heritage Month in November, The University of California, Merced has announced that it will host the inaugural Toloma 5k Run on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9-11 a.m.  Click here to register for the race.

At Idaho State University, tribal members are being offered free admission to the Idaho Museum of Natural History on the Pocatello campus.  According to the announcement, during National Native American Heritage Month, visitors will enjoy the “This is Idaho exhibit,” which celebrates the natural world of Idaho with the museum’s collection of plants, animals, and artifacts.

The exhibit reveals diverse landscapes and how life has adapted over thousands of years. Exhibit highlights include basketry, sagebrush clothing, unique fossils, and a colorful array of Idaho birds. To learn more, visit imnh.isu.edu.
