More than 5,200 graduates from UTA to join the workforce

Hari Vasudevan earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from the College of Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005.  Now a leading professional engineer, Vasudevan, also founder and CEO of Think Power Solutions, was chosen as the December 2019 commencement speaker to share his insights on technology and the future.

Some of his achievements include leading the identification, bid, capital program management, and execution of the Texas Competitive Renewable Energy Zones program for several utilities, a capital investment of more than $7B in a two year period.

According to the University of Texas at Arlington, degrees were on conferred on more than 5,200 candidates in commencement ceremonies spread over three days from Dec. 12-14 at College Park Center.

The newest graduates will join about 240,000 UTA alumni, who earn the highest first-year median wage of graduates from any UT System academic institution, according to the 2019 UT Smartbook. Click here to see more UTA media photos.
