The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) has launched the 2022 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) season on Twitter. The organization’s website has several applications aimed at students interested in conducting scientific research at a graduate level.

Featured opportunities include research internships in sustainable bioenergy,  a paid summer internship in community ecology, a bench to bassinet research education program, and genomics summer research for minorities.

SACNAS will also be hosting CareerCon on February 22nd. The free job matching event is open to those applying for a job or interested in learning about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.

At CareerCon you’ll:

  • Engage in training to prepare for the job search
  • Learn what a “day in the life” of your dream job looks like
  • Be matched with companies who are currently hiring

Employers at the event will include  Johnson & Johnson, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, the National Security Agency (NSA), and more. The job search and placement event is free and happening on February 22. Click here to learn more.
