West Texas A&M University,  a Hispanic-serving institution in Canyon, Texas, has unveiled plans to support family members in the same household who are taking classes at the same time. According to West Texas A&M, families with more than two members enrolled at the university will receive a scholarship the amount of tuition for one student from a new Family Scholarship program.

Since the program was launched this semester, two families have reportedly benefited from the program. To qualify, each student in the family registered at West Texas A&M University must have a 2.0 or higher GPA, complete the scholarship application, and apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year.

Best Value Schools has listed West Texas A&M University as one of the “10 best value Hispanic-serving colleges and universities in Texas” and has routinely been recognized by US News & World Report for its undergraduate and graduate programs.
