Hispanic Engineer magazine celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with top women in STEM

Gabriela Munguia began her career as a weight and balance engineer at Bell Helicopter 19 years ago. Currently a business analyst, Gabby is preparing for a 3D experience upgrade project to ensure the most efficient processes with the updated systems are defined.

Throughout her career, Gabby has led cross-functional teams that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse to implement system solutions. She has pioneered innovative paths to get the job done.

Gabby has written multiple process documentation for engineering and has reviewed and approved many more. She has also taught classes on CAD software and systems being implemented. She has worked as a mentor for several new graduate engineers advising them on Bell’s requirements, software, and even career opportunities.

Gabby has presented the results of one of the projects she led at the Community of Experts (COE) conference. She is also a voting member of the committee representing Bell.

Gabby is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a graduate of Southwestern University with an undergraduate degree in physical science.
