Before the national emergency, corporate and federal employers like the Department of Agriculture (USDA) were set to host career development workshops designed for students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), tips for resume writing, interviewing, and securing internships at an event led by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU).
Recently, HACU announced that the online application deadline for its Emerging Leaders Summit at Texas A&M University is Friday, September 1st.
According to HACU, students must be enrolled at a college or university within a 100-mile radius from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The full list of eligible HACU-member institutions for this regional event is on the website.
Five participants in the one-day summit will receive scholarships to attend the HACU ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute (Student Track) to be held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Florida, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2.
