HACU announces speakers for Latino Higher Education Leadership Institute

The Latino Higher Education Leadership Institute will take place Oct. 31 and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced the agenda for its one-day event. Online registration is extended through July 1.

According to HACU, round table sessions will explore the key skills needed for higher education leaders to excel and advance up the ranks.

The Latino Higher Education Leadership Institute is a pre-conference event of HACU’s Annual Conference,  taking place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Oct. 31 – Nov. 2.

Speakers include:

  • Keith Hall, vice president, diversity and inclusion, Azusa Pacific University
  • Maria Anguiano, senior vice president for strategy, Arizona State University
  • Elizabeth Ortiz, vice president for institutional diversity and equity, DePaul University
  • Marla Franco, assistant vice provost for Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Initiatives at the University of Arizona
  • Cyndia Morales Muñiz, director of HSI culture and partnerships, University of Central Florida
  • Daniel Lopez, Jr., president of Harold Washington College
  • Irma Becerra Fernandez, president of Marymount University
