Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced the Ford College Community Challenge for students at Hispanic-serving Institutions (HSIs), in partnership with the Ford Motor Company.
The Ford College Community Challenge (Ford C3) grant requires HACU-member HSI student teams to partner with a community-based 501c3 organization to develop a proposal. A project budget and an awareness campaign will be required with the proposal.
According to the press release, proposals accepted may range from education and community development to safe driving.
Entries are limited to groups of 3-5 students enrolled full-time during the 2019 spring and fall semesters. In addition to the grant awards, the student team members will receive a scholarship.
Online applications will be accepted through March 1, 2019.
Launched in 2008, the Ford College Community Challenge is designed to empower college students to inspire community-building projects addressing pressing local needs.
