Tune in for the Global STEM Alliance (GSA) Summit at 9:00 a.m. on Facebook Live to celebrate hundreds of young people.

The GSA is a coalition of more than 250 organizations united to increase the number and diversity of students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) pipeline. Please register to attend.

The organization’s president and CEO Nicholas Dirks, PhD., will address students on the importance of embracing limitless curiosity.

The keynote speaker, Laura Helmuth, PhD., editor-in-chief of Scientific American, will talk about the exciting work that science journalists do each day—and how young people can help communicate science.

The 2020 Summit was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In it’s place the New York Academy of Sciences is hosting a virtual summit on July 21st from 9-11 a.m. EST.

Founding partners of the Global STEM Alliance include Cisco, the Pepsico Foundation, United Technologies, and Infosys.

CompTIA, Intel Corporation, Lockheed Martin, and the National Science Foundation are among the many funders of the event.
