Day 1 kicked off with keynotes from Consumer Technology Association (CTA) President and CEO Gary Shapiro and Karen Chupka, executive vice president of CES, billed as the ‘world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies.’ According to CES 2020, the entire tech ecosystem is covered. Topic-focused CES agendas include the C Space, Smart Cities, Resilience, Digital Health, and Sports Technology.

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian delivered the CES 2020 opening keynote, marking the first time an airline will headline the CES keynote stage. CES 2020 also features a new Travel & Tourism exhibit area to show how smarter and safer technologies are revolutionizing the industry.

In conversation with Medialink Chairman and CEO Michael E. Kassan, Unilever CEO Alan Jope and Salesforce co-CEO Marc Benioff discussed the role that technology can play in making our world a more sustainable and progressive place to live and do business.

FTC Chairman Joseph Simons and FCC Chairman Ajit Pai joined CTA President and CEO Gary Shapiro for candid conversations about the exciting opportunities agencies face as they navigate the rapidly changing technological landscape.

Privacy is now a strategic imperative for all consumer businesses. A seminar looked at how companies build privacy at scale, and whether regulation is a fragmented patchwork. Most importantly, what do consumers want?

Beyond touch, voice and search will require an array of sensors and data sharing far beyond what we are subject to today, in exchange for massive improvements in health, mobility, and our homes. In the Inside CES 2020: Trends & Takeaways report, attendees are able to get an exclusive analysis of the hot topics from CES 2020 that will affect business in the coming year.
