The announcement is part of Comcast’s $1 billion Project UP commitment, which aims to promote digital equity and create a future of Unlimited Possibilities.

Among the organizations set to benefit from this funding is the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), which will use the funds to enhance college and career readiness. Additionally, Comcast supports the AISES Next Generation of Indigenous Coders program, which prepares students for computer science degrees and careers in various industries.

Comcast also works with the Hispanic Federation to support 20 Digital Equity Centers at Latino-led and serving nonprofits. These centers offer digital skills training and job placement assistance to over 5,000 participants.

Comcast is also working with CodePath to provide tools and connections to college computer science students, helping them unlock their greatest career potential. CodePath students have the opportunity to train with senior engineers and intern at top companies.

Currently, nearly 20,000 students and alums from 500 colleges are working at 2,000 companies. With the new funding, CodePath plans to expand its services and serve 10,000 students.
