According to the press release, five standout Florida International University (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management students got to experience these trends when faculty members took the FIU Bistro at the Biscayne Bay Campus on the road to exhibit at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago.

The students reportedly helped demonstrate the product, one of 2,100 exhibitors showcasing products on the 11 football fields of space inside Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.

Earlier in the month, the  University of South Florida launched a graduate certificate program in AI for working professionals in the technology sector interested in enhancing their skillset.

The Artificial Intelligence Graduate Certificate participants must take four online courses providing detailed information about binding domains in AI, modifying AI tools, and strengthening programs, such as ChatGPT.

The certificate also serves as a pathway for those interested in enrolling in the USF Master of Science in Data Intelligence, which launches in the fall.  The course registration deadline is Aug. 1.

Meanwhile, the University of Florida hosted a panel on ethics in artificial intelligence on Tuesday, May 2, with faculty members exploring the critical role of ethics as scientists race toward increasingly sophisticated AI technologies.

UF faculty members participated in an online panel, which explored various topics related to the ethical implications of artificial intelligence, including algorithmic bias, ChatGPT, and the social impact of AI on different communities.
