It showcased some of the top scientists and inventors at UTA, along with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and commercialization experts. Moreover, they recognized over 30 UTA members who recently earned patents.

The Celebration of Research and Innovation allowed attendees to meet students, faculty, and alums who have founded their businesses based on the innovations developed at UTA.

They also listened to interdisciplinary research projects by teams of faculty. In addition, they learned about the resources and expertise within the Office of the Vice President of Research and Innovation, which supports research and collaborates with industries.
As per a recent study, UTA and its 250,000 alumni create an annual economic impact of $28 Billion.

San José State University held its Celebration of Research 2023 on Thursday, April 27. The capstone event celebrates undergraduate and graduate students and their work on groundbreaking research taking place on the SJSU campus.

This year, students in the Student RSCA Fellowship program, the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, and the finalists of the Student RSCA Competition were honored.

The program also announced the SJSU Research Foundation Early Career Investigator Award faculty winners and featured a performance from the students in the College of Humanities and the Arts. Following the program, a student poster session celebrated the research of 70 students.
