The University of Rochester, in partnership with FIRST, awards scholarships worth $8,000 to $15,000 per year to students who have participated on a FIRST team and are enrolling as first-year students at the University.

The Southern Scholarship Foundation provides rent-free housing to qualified students attending selected universities in Florida, and the deadline for Spring consideration is November 1st.

The NJCPA Scholarship Fund awards college scholarships to accounting students in their second year, sophomore or junior year, or senior year and entering an accounting-related graduate program.

The SVC Foundation Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students studying a field related to vacuum coating technology. The Reagan Academy GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program’s deadline for application is January 5, 2024.

Finally, the College Board BigFuture Scholarships program ends on February 28, 2024, for the Class of 2024, offering $40,000 scholarships per student.

According to a tweet by Scholarship America on Thursday, historically marginalized students with high financial need only receive 11% of private scholarships. Research and surveys conducted by the organization show that private scholarships play a significant role in improving graduation rates for minority students with financial struggles.

However, these students are not receiving a proportionate amount of private scholarships, including only 11% of awards from Scholarship America. Scholarship America has plans to address this issue. Learn more about their efforts.
