POSTED ON Sep 01, 2023

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has partnered with Palo Alto Networks to offer scholarships to eligible students at HACU-member institutions. Applications will be accepted until November 1, 2023.

These scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or similar tech-related STEM and business majors.

Preference will be given to students who are graduating in Spring or Summer 2024. To learn more about the guidelines, visit the HACU website.

HACU is also offering Denny’s Hungry for Education scholarships aimed at undergraduate and graduate students of all majors.

To apply for this scholarship, the student must be enrolled part-time or full-time in a 2-year or 4-year HACU Member Institution and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.

In addition to this, the applicants must submit an essay of at least 500 words on the topic “How Denny’s can help bring communities together?” If selected, scholarship recipients must also provide a headshot electronically to HACU for Denny’s press purposes.

Recently, Great Minds in STEM called for volunteers to serve as reviewers for its 2023 GMiS STEM Scholarships.

The organization required thorough and independent scoring of eligible scholarship applications for various merit-based corporate-sponsored and personal donor scholarships.

Reviewers received around 20-22 applications to review online. Assignments were distributed starting June 26, and reviewers had around 14 days to read and score their assigned applications.

Since 2001, Great Minds in STEM has awarded over $5.6 million in scholarships to more than 2,000 college students. To apply for the GMiS STEM Scholarship, visit the scholarship portal and find out when applications for the 2024-25 academic year will be accepted.
