According to the social media post, SACNAS has collaborated with artist Rusty Gillette to produce the SACNAS 50th Anniversary Logo. The logo was a collaborative effort designed to celebrate and highlight SACNAS’s 50th anniversary as an organization and commemorate all the amazing years of bringing the community together to achieve true diversity in STEM.

This month, SACNAS’s CareerCon 2023 will take place from April 25 through 27. The annual training and job placement program is designed to help people interested in science, technology,  engineering, and math (STEM) careers in industry. According to SACNAS, the event is a chance to find a match with ready-to-hire employers for interviews.

On their Frequently Asked Questions webpage, SACNAS states that CareerCon is the organization’s response to members’ interest in pursuing a career in industry. CareerCon is an immersive, experiential cohort-based career matching event, with sessions led by industry experts and SACNAS members in industry.

Participants are encouraged to sign up for insight into the industrial workplace and learn about current internships and positions they can apply for while expanding their professional skillset and networking.

The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science aims to further the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American students in obtaining advanced degrees, careers, leadership positions, and equality in the STEM field. Click here for more information.
