PepsiCo Foundation, in collaboration with Cheetos, is providing 500 Uplift Scholarships this year to students in 12 community colleges classified as Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The PepsiCo Foundation aims to grant over 2,000 additional scholarships in the next three years as part of its partnership with Cheetos.
The Uplift Scholarships will cover tuition-related expenses and will offer support services such as access to emergency grants to prevent students from pausing their education, financial management webinars, and opportunities for mentorship with PepsiCo leadership and associates.
The scholarships will also provide additional assistance such as transportation, housing, and food to help students overcome obstacles that may hinder their educational pursuits.
Cheetos is launching the Deja tu Huella Tour to encourage students to apply for the PepsiCo Foundation’s Uplift Scholarships. The tour will host events at community colleges around National Hispanic Heritage Month in Miami, San Antonio, and Los Angeles, reaching three community college systems with more than 400,000 students.
Cheetos will celebrate Hispanic students at each college campus and provide them with resources such as resume reviews, professional headshots, mentorship opportunities, and motivational speakers. The tour will feature music, delicious food, photo opportunities, and more.
Cheetos has been celebrating and empowering the Hispanic community for several years through its Deja tu Huella campaign. The campaign aims to inspire people to make an impact, and to mark its fourth iteration, Cheetos has launched the world’s first fingertip sponsorship with global superstar Becky G.
Becky G, a long-time advocate for the Hispanic community, has joined the cause to support the next generation of Hispanic students through scholarships provided by the PepsiCo Foundation, a community college tour, and a nationwide TikTok challenge.
In a new TV commercial, Cheetos showcases how Becky G’s Cheetle-covered fingertips can inspire members of the Hispanic community to pursue their dreams, just as she did.
