Texas A&M University celebrated thousands of graduates during its fall commencement ceremonies held on December 12 and 13. More than 5,600 graduates were recognized as they walked across the stage.
Approximately 5,622 degrees were awarded to fall graduates, which included undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees from various colleges, such as Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Agriculture and Life Sciences, Public Health, Architecture, Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Engineering.
On December 13, a military commissioning ceremony also took place, where 58 members of the university’s Corps of Cadets were commissioned into the U.S. armed services.
In 2022, Texas A&M University was recognized by Hispanic Outlook on Education magazine as one of the top universities awarding Latinos degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The university ranked in the top 10 in five categories in a ranking presented by the magazine.
More recently, Texas A&M announced that their degree holds the highest value, based on an analysis from the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity.
According to the FREOPP assessment, the data is clear: Texas A&M University provides the best value among the state’s public institutions.
The analysis from FREOPP assessed the estimated increase in lifetime earnings a student can expect when enrolling in a degree program minus the costs of college for 53,000 degree and certificate programs.
According to FREOPP’s data, the average return on investment (ROI) for a Texas A&M undergraduate degree is $861,725, which is roughly $200,000 more than the average ROI across other Texas public institutions.
Additionally, Texas A&M’s ROI is 28.2% higher than the national average.
