The University of Arizona College of Applied Science and Technology is now accepting applications for its new Master of Science in Cyber and Information Operations program.

This is designed to provide students with an opportunity to continue their cyber education after earning an undergraduate degree.

The undergraduate courses will be offered on the main campus of UArizona, starting this fall.

There are more than 400 schools across the country that are certified in cyber defense.

Additionally, 83 institutions have been awarded a graduate-level research designation by the National Security Agency (NSA).

The National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity is a program managed by the NSA’s National Cryptologic School in partnership with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Institute of Standards, and other federal agencies.

The program was developed to create and maintain cybersecurity programs at community colleges and universities.

The Center of Academic Excellence program awards designations in cyber defense, research, and operations, each based on the academic offerings and focuses of the individual institution.

The staff and faculty at the University of Arizona College of Applied Science and Technology are training the next generation of cyber professionals to secure and protect data, communications, and privacy.

The college received the prestigious cyber operations designation in 2018 and must reapply every five years.

Arizona is one of only 20 schools to earn a cybersecurity operations designation, placing the program in rarefied company, joining institutions such as the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, and Naval Postgraduate School.
