The Medtronic-Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) internship partnership has been successful over the years.

In 2023, the program had a total of 53 interns, with 27 females and 26 males. 47 percent of the interns were the first in their family to attend college. The interns’ average age was 21, and their average GPA was 3.5.

Now, the 2025 Medtronic | SHPE Internship Program is open for applications.

SHPE is inviting high-performing sophomores, juniors, and master’s level students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields to apply by September 2, 2024.

The program offers personalized support from SHPE, including mentoring, professional development, and a pre-internship boot camp.

Participants will work on innovative projects involving Medtronic medical technology, with competitive pay and benefits.

Medtronic plc is a leading healthcare technology company that develops and manufactures healthcare technologies and therapies. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and operates in the United States as well as in more than 150 countries. It has a workforce of over 90,000 employees.
