The Horatio Alger Association is an educational nonprofit organization that honors individuals who exemplify the American Dream. They have announced a variety of scholarships starting from $2,500.
The available programs include the National Career & Technical Education Scholarship, the John Hardin Hudiburg Career & Technical Education Scholarship, the Protective Life Career & Technical Education Scholarship, the Valencia College Career & Technical Education Scholarship, and the Warren Webster Scholarship Program.
The association has supported hundreds of first-generation Americans in becoming first-generation college graduates by providing the guidance needed to navigate their resources and manage scholarship funds.
Graduate scholarships are exclusively available for Horatio Alger Scholars.
The Dennis Washington Leadership Graduate Scholarship awards outstanding graduate students who are pursuing advanced education and research. This scholarship empowers exceptional individuals with leadership potential to become change agents and make a significant impact in their fields.
The Graduate Achievement Scholarship is designed for Horatio Alger Scholars who have demonstrated remarkable perseverance in their undergraduate studies and aspire to pursue advanced academic degrees.
Additionally, the David E. Ritchie grant is awarded to one Horatio Alger Scholar each year who is interested in pursuing a Master of Global Business at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
This intensive 12- to 16-month immersion program, which is taught across four continents and includes a global internship, is aimed at recent graduates from diverse backgrounds.
