Yasmin Davidds, CEO and founder of the Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Foundation, was the keynote speaker at the ceremony for all master and doctoral graduates.
Ciriaco “Cid” Pinedo, the current president and CEO of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), addressed all undergraduates.

They are education leaders and community changemakers from Los Angeles, Corona, and the Coachella Valley.
The 2024 recipients included Sam Buenrostro, the superintendent of Corona-Norco Unified School District, and Kelly May-Vollmar, the superintendent of the Desert Sands Unified School District in La Quinta.
Buenrostro holds a doctorate in education with an emphasis in organizational leadership from the University of La Verne, a master’s degree from Cal State San Bernardino, and a bachelor’s degree from Chapman University.
May-Vollmar received her doctorate in education with an emphasis in organizational leadership in 2018 from the University of La Verne and a master’s degree in teaching from Chapman University, where she also earned her undergraduate degree.
