On Friday, May 16th, Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College hosted its Spring Commencement Ceremony, celebrating its unique programs in Equine Studies and Sustainable Energy Technologies, the only tribal college of its kind.
The commencement speaker, Jayme Davis, a dedicated state representative in North Dakota, honored the graduates and highlighted the vital role of tribal education in our communities.
With a wealth of experience from federal policy work to grassroots initiatives at Turtle Mountain Community College, Davis exemplifies a commitment to uplifting tribal voices.
Also on May 16, the College of Menominee Nation hosted its commencement ceremony at the Five Clans Ballroom within the Menominee Casino Resort, bringing another successful academic year to a close.
Before the festivities began, the graduating class enjoyed breakfast with President Caldwell and Alumni Speaker Jasmine Neosh.

Earlier in the week, the College’s Institutional Advancement department celebrated a significant partnership with the Robert J. Peot Foundation, honoring twenty successful years of collaboration.
Since 2005, this generous foundation has played a pivotal role in alleviating financial burdens for students, enabling them to pursue their academic dreams with confidence.
An economic impact study highlights the College of Menominee Nation’s vital influence on local and regional economies, significantly enhancing student employability and enriching communities.
For every dollar in taxes from the region, CMN students can generate $6.80 in earnings, while local communities enjoy an extra $2.80 in income and social savings.
