The 28th Women of Color STEM Conference will celebrate 2023 STEM Award winners
POSTED ON Oct 05, 2023
The Women of Color 2023 STEM Awards highlight the achievements of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) employers.
This provides them with an opportunity to showcase their inventors, innovators, and latest technologies.
Among this year’s award winners is Mary Hor-Lao, an executive at Abbott, who won the Women of Color Technologist of the Year Award.
Mary was recognized for her leadership in developing groundbreaking implantable pulse generators and virtual clinics that help patients with chronic pain and movement disorders.
She is also an advocate for women of color in STEM and supports philanthropic efforts to help children in Cambodia. In the upcoming issue, we will cover the award winners from other notable companies such as Boeing, Amazon Web Services, and General Motors.
