Computer and math-focused jobs are a major trend, expected to increase to over 56% of all STEM jobs by 2028.

STEM jobs are on the rise, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. There is an expected growth of over 8 million STEM workers by 2028, with computer and mathematics-focused jobs leading the trend.

This field is expected to increase from 53% to over 56% of all STEM jobs by 2028.

In the United States, there are four primary computer and math-focused careers: application software developers, computer user support specialists, computer systems analysts, and systems software developers, each employing over 400,000 workers.

Pursuing degrees in mathematics, computer, or engineering can lead to access to these 7 million jobs.

The top 10 fastest-growing STEM careers include application software developers, information security analysts, statisticians, operations research analysts, computer user support specialists, computer systems analysts, industrial engineers, computer and information research scientists, systems software developers, and architects.

A recent study conducted by Workyard has identified the most in-demand jobs in the current employment market from June 2022 to June 2023.

The study analyzed data from Google search, LinkedIn, and Indeed job openings, as well as the number of professionals available in each field.

The study found that the most in-demand job is the AI Prompt Engineer, with 7,000 job openings and over 60,000 Google searches. This is followed by the Human Integration Specialist, with 6,000 job openings, and the 3D Printing Engineer, with around 3,000 job openings and a high Google search count of 9,000.

Other jobs on the list include the AI Product Manager, Drone Manager, AI Research Scientist, Augmented Reality Experience Designer, Digital Currency Advisor, Virtual Reality Therapist, and AI Ethicist.

The AI Research Scientist has 850 job openings, with a high Google search count of 7,550. The Augmented Reality Experience Designer has 800 job openings and a low Google search count of 350.

The Digital Currency Advisor has around 500 job openings on LinkedIn and Indeed, with a typical Google search count of 150.

The Virtual Reality Therapist has only 300 job openings but has higher interest with 2,000 Google searches, while the AI Ethicist has only nine job openings with 1,000 Google searches.

Overall, the study provides a comprehensive overview of the most in-demand jobs in the current market, highlighting the increasing role of artificial intelligence in shaping the job market.

The most in-demand jobs from June 2022 to June 2023 are AI Prompt Engineer, Human Integration Specialist, and 3D Printing Engineer. Other in-demand jobs include AI Product Manager, Drone Manager, AI Research Scientist, Augmented Reality Experience Designer, Digital Currency Advisor, Virtual Reality Therapist, and AI Ethicist.
