Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) has announced that the Board of Directors has selected San Diego as the host city for the 37th annual conference, scheduled for October 2-4, 2025. Most sessions and awards events, including the HENAAC Awards Show, will take place at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel venue.

According to the press release from GMiS, the Career and Graduate School Fair will occur at the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday, October 4th.

Peter Mellado, the new executive director of GMiS, stated that downtown San Diego is the ideal location for the annual conference. “It’s a world-renowned convention city, and the quality of its facilities, restaurants, tourist attractions, and amenities will benefit our sponsors, students, and professional attendees well,” he said.

Dr. Juan Rivera, Chairman of the Board for Great Minds in STEM, emphasized that San Diego and Southern California, in general, represent a vibrant STEM ecosystem that is crucial to the economy and technology infrastructure.

He also highlighted the numerous world-class universities within a 500-mile radius, many Fortune 500 STEM companies with a significant presence in the region, and the military—particularly the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard—with their many civilian and uniformed commands that have long made San Diego their home.

The 39th annual BEYA STEM Conference will take place in Baltimore from February 13-15, 2025, celebrating excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The Career Communications Group (CCG), which publishes Hispanic Engineer magazine and produces the annual conference, is partnering once again with the Council of Engineering Deans at HBCUs to co-host the event.

The forum will feature keynote speeches from industry leaders, professional seminars, award shows, networking sessions, and a job fair.

This three-day event will be available both in-person and virtually. Save the Dates: February 13-15. Location: Baltimore Convention Center and the BEYA DTX Platform

Previous recruiters at the BEYA STEM Conference include prominent organizations such as Abbott Laboratories, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Boeing, Boston Scientific, Cisco Systems, Cummins, Dominion Energy, Ford, General Dynamics, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, Leidos, The MITRE Corporation, Navy Recruiting Command, NetApp, NOAA, Northrop Grumman, QVC, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, SAIC, Spirit AeroSystems, Time Warner Media, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, T.
