The Home Depot announced Tuesday that it is hiring 80,000 associates for the spring season with a new hiring app built by the company’s in-house engineers. Last spring, the home improvement retailer launched Candidate Self Service, another homegrown app that allows store and supply chain candidates to schedule interviews. Nearly one million candidates have used the application since its launch.
“Technology is at the forefront of everything we do at The Home Depot, and that includes taking care of our associates,” said Tim Hourigan, executive vice president of human resources.
Approximately 2,000 U.S. stores and more than 100 distribution centers have part- and full-time positions available, and the new technology helps hiring teams to move candidates through the hiring process faster.
Opportunities are available across the store and distribution centers in a variety of departments, including overnight freight, garden, customer service and merchandising.
Applicants should visit careers.homedepot.com for the 15-minute application, or text HOMEDEPOT to 52270 for a link to apply to local positions.
The Home Depot has 2,288 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico. The company employs more than 400,000 associates.
