The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has announced the dates for its Spring Commencement. Divided up into three ceremonies, graduates in the College of Engineering and the College of Sciences will wear their class rings on May 17.
The rings are reportedly held overnight in the Alamo before the Ring Ceremony when students receive what is widely regarded as a lasting symbol. 2019 was one of the biggest years in the university’s history, as UTSA marked its 50th anniversary.
Spring Commencement Ceremony 1 will take place Saturday, May 16, 10-11:30 a.m for the College of Architecture, Construction, and Planning; the College of Business, and the College of Public Policy.
Ceremony 2 will also be held on Saturday, May 16, from 3-4:30 p.m. for the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and in University College.
Ceremony 3 is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 10-11:30 a.m, where graduates from the College of Education and Human Development, the College of Engineering, and the College of Sciences will be honored.
