The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers recently acknowledged everyone who participated in the nationwide 50th Fiesta celebration.
SHPE, the largest association for Hispanics in STEM, works with members of its Industry Partnership Council, such as Chevron, to address industry challenges in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
With financial contributions to sponsorships and scholarships, partners like Chevron uplift young professionals and provide access to education and opportunities at the SHPE National Convention, which will take place in Anaheim from October 30 to November 2.
To promote the event, SHPE is offering a Cybersecurity Certificate Opportunity. Thanks to SHPE partners at Bank of America, selected undergraduate students will receive FREE training and certification coursework in cybersecurity, sponsorship to the National Convention in Anaheim (which includes airfare, registration, and hotel), and mentoring and professional development from Bank of America cybersecurity professionals. Applications are due 11:59 PM PDT on September 8.
About this time last year, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) shared the inaugural SHPE-LDC U.S. Latinos in Engineering and Tech Report, produced in collaboration with the Latino Donor Collaborative (LDC).
The report delves deep into the experiences of Latino students and professionals, highlighting their contributions and challenges, and discussing the untapped potential within this rapidly growing community.
The report provides valuable insights informing organizations and catalyzing change across the broader engineering and tech ecosystem.
The data in this report is based on research gathered from SHPE’s past and current members through the annual SHPE Needs Assessment, and it was presented live at the L’ATTITUDE Conference.
This year, L’ATTITUDE has partnered with Wells Fargo. This significant collaboration highlights how the influential U.S. Latino cohort is forging the future of The New Mainstream Economy in 21st Century America.
On day one of the L’ATTITUDE conference, The Latino Donor Collaborative Think Tank will unveil its 2024 LDC U.S. Latino GDP Report, which Wells Fargo has sponsored since its inception.
The report includes the latest statistics and insights on the impact, breadth, and growth of U.S. Latino contributions to the economy, and will serve as the cornerstone for presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.
