Fresh from its 2019 National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, Oct. 30-Nov. 3, SHPE launched a new logo on social media. According to the nation’s largest association dedicated to fostering Hispanic leadership in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), “the four swirling shapes represent four core values of Familia, Service, Education, and Resilience, as well as, the four elements of STEM,” SHPE said on LinkedIn.
“The new SHPE logo positions our association as a powerful brand in the world of diversity in STEM. The four swirling shapes represent our four core values of Familia, Service, Education, and Resilience, as well as, the four elements of STEM. The logo design conveys the energy, interconnectedness, and teamwork found within the SHPE community. #SHPEFamilia #SHPE4Life“
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) has supported Hispanic students and professionals in STEM for nearly 50 years.
