The National Society – Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarship opened for applications on November 1st. Applications are currently being accepted for scholarship opportunities from both the DAR Scholarship and American Indians Committees.
These scholarships cover a range of disciplines, including nursing, medicine, occupational and physical therapy, mathematics, chemistry, music (voice and piano only), horticulture, and elementary and secondary education.
There are two scholarships specifically designated for Native American students who can provide proof of membership in a federally or state-recognized tribe.
Additionally, over twenty of the scholarship opportunities are available for graduating high school students, college undergraduates, and graduate students.
To apply, candidates must submit a personal statement of 1,000 words or less detailing their career objectives, a recent transcript, and letters of recommendation.
The application window will close on January 31st.
Applicants will be notified via email from DAR Academic Works by the second week of May, regardless of whether they are selected as scholarship recipients.
