Earlier this month, students at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s (HSF) Youth Leadership Institute gained valuable insights on navigating and succeeding in their college experiences during the YLI Mentor Panel.
The HSF Youth Leadership Institute provided students with essential advice and guidance on how to thrive in their early careers.
HSF’s strategic partners, including Princeton University, hosted the 2025 Young Leaders Summit, a free college empowerment program presented by the Youth Leadership Consortium.
This program is designed for high-achieving, low-income high school juniors, equipping them with the tools, mentorship, and confidence needed to succeed at top universities and beyond.
During the College Admissions Panel Session, students heard from executives at Wells Fargo, the University of Michigan, the University of Chicago, Loyola Marymount University, and Princeton University about preparing for and planning the college admissions process.
HSF is celebrating 50 years of empowering Latino students through education. In April, HSF held its 50th Anniversary & Leaders in Education Awards Dinner.
Since its inception in 1975, HSF has awarded over $756 million in scholarships to more than 65,000 scholars, establishing itself as a cornerstone in advancing Latino higher education.
HSF will continue its 50th-anniversary celebrations with a virtual Scholar Celebration on Tuesday, July 29, via Zoom. This event will resemble the previous celebrations, uniting Scholars, their families, alums, and supporters to honor the newest HSF Scholars in a virtual setting.
Each year, HSF selects 10,000 outstanding students as HSF Scholars from a diverse and talented pool of applicants.
As an HSF Scholar, you will have access to a comprehensive range of Scholar Support Services that include career services, mentorship, leadership development, knowledge building, and wellness training.
HSF Scholars are also eligible to apply for all Scholar Conferences and gain exclusive access to the HSF Insider, which shares invaluable information and career opportunities.
Additionally, HSF awards over $30 million in scholarships annually, with amounts ranging from $500 to $5,000 awarded directly to students.
