The Minority Education Freedom Foundation and Latinos En Michigan TV will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by honoring unsung Hispanic/Latino heroes.
The event will take place on October 3 in Lincoln Park, Wayne County, Michigan.
The proceeds from this year’s event will support the Minority Education Freedom Foundation’s programs, which aim to promote art, volunteerism, and entrepreneurship among Hispanics/Latinos in Michigan.
The Talentos Latinos Awards will recognize professionals in nonprofit organizations, finance, economic development, manufacturing, and health care.
The awards will also feature live performances by local artists to showcase the vibrant culture and diversity of the Hispanic/Latino community in Michigan.
The Talentos Latinos Awards were created by Colombian journalist and immigrant Liliana Ospina, the founder of Latinos En Michigan TV, in 2019 to highlight the dedication of Latinos who have made significant contributions to the lives of fellow Hispanics/Latinos in Michigan.
In addition, Grand Rapids, Michigan recently hosted the 46th Hispanic Festival, celebrating all Latin American countries, Hispanic communities, and businesses in the area.
The Mexican Heritage Center in Stockton, California’s Central Valley also hosted an event called Christmas in July to promote art and culture for current and future generations.
