The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is hosting its 37th annual conference in Chicago, from Oct. 28-30.

The conference will feature select programs and initiatives from HACU member institutions, promote partnerships and alliances between members and public/private sector organizations, and discuss emerging trends in higher education.

HACU represents over 500 colleges and universities in the U.S., Latin America, and Spain, and also has regional offices in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, California.

The 37th annual conference of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will be held in Chicago, Illinois from October 28-30.

The conference’s theme, “Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success, Diversifying our Workforce, and Strengthening America,” will highlight select programs and initiatives from the 500 HACU member institutions.

The event will promote and expand partnerships and strategic alliances for collaboration between HACU member institutions, as well as between public and private sector organizations.

The conference will also focus on fostering graduate education opportunities for Hispanic students, and graduates, and will discuss policy issues affecting Hispanic education opportunities, including HACU’s legislative agendas.

Participants will be informed about Hispanic participation in scholarships, fellowships, internships, and other programs funded by private and government organizations.

Discussions will also center on emerging trends in higher education affecting Hispanics and HSIs, such as distance learning, student-centered learning, outcomes assessment, and cross-national accreditation.

Established in 1986, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the US, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S.

HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The association is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, and has regional offices in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, California.
