Frontier Fiesta is a student-led spring festival that was established in 1939 at the University of Houston.
On their webpage, the Frontier Fiesta Association says the festival is one of the institution’s oldest traditions. IT began as a way to promote the university when the college first moved from downtown Houston to its present location.
Since then, Frontier Fiesta has grown into a showcase of the talents of the University of Houston’s student body. The event is a major production that takes the cooperation of the student, staff, faculty of the University of Houston.
