Ricardo Garcia-Amaya is the founder and CEO of VOIQ Inc., a tech company that services clients such as Airbnb and Stanford University and is funded by YCombinator.
Twice a year, Y Combinator invests a small amount of money ($120k) in a large number of startups. Since 2005, Y Combinator has funded over 1,773 startups.
Ricardo is also the founder of The Top Latino Tech Leaders. The tech group brings together Latino industry leaders, influential leaders in Silicon Valley, NYC and top tech hubs in the world to empower the next generation of minority tech founders expanding the U.S. economy.
Ricardo has been an active member of the delegation of the U.S. Department of State and Aspen Institute, exploring the investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Latin America.
Prior to VOIQ, Ricardo was an associate at the NYC Mayor’s Office developing the technology blueprint for New York City. He also served as campaign CTO to the first Latino mayor of the city of Providence, RI.
Ricardo has an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Politics from NYU. He is a member of the advisory council of the World Policy Institute, and a Management Leaders for Tomorrow Fellow. He was recently a guest at the White House reception for Latino leaders.
