The University of Rochester’s Christopher Kanan Lab is now recruiting PhD students for the fall of 2024. The laboratory is interested in applicants with research and deep learning skills.
Particularly those who have authored papers in venues such as the International Conference on Machine Learning, Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, the Conference and Workshop on Neural Information Processing Systems, and the International Conference on Learning Representations.
The lab focuses on deep learning, continual/lifelong machine learning, bias robust neural networks, self-supervised learning, and multi-modal large language models. Applicants are not required to have undergraduate degrees in computer science.
Successful applicants will receive full-tuition scholarships and stipends for five years. The application deadline is January 1, and there are no application fees.
Additionally, there are various scholarship opportunities available to students in different fields of study.
The Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) Foundation Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students studying various topics related to vacuum coating technology.
The application deadline for the Reagan Academy GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is January 5, 2024.
The Daughters of the American Revolution also awards scholarships in chemistry, math, and science, and their application portal is open until January 31, 2024.
The NJCPA Scholarship Fund awards college scholarships to accounting students in their second, sophomore or junior year, or senior year and entering an accounting-related graduate program.
The College Board BigFuture Scholarships program is open until February 28, 2024, for the Class of 2024, with scholarships worth $40,000 per student.
