Oscar Rodriguez, Top Hispanic in Business and Technology

Oscar Rodriguez is a recognized management consultant and strategist. He has worked as a product manager in Facebook’s growth organization since the fall of 2017.

“I build products, systems, and features that protect users and take down bad guys. Recently I’ve been focused on coordinated attacks (spam, misinformation, election security, etc.),” Oscar writes on his LinkedIn page.

A former senior manager for Safe Browsing – Trust & Safety at Google, he helped Google Safe Browsing protect devices by showing warnings to users when they attempt to navigate to dangerous sites or download dangerous files.

Prior, Oscar was based in Brazil, working with Google’s Trust & Safety team.

“I was responsible for coverage of the Latin-America region from a fraud, abuse and user/advertiser protection perspective, as well as managing the Product Quality Operations team members based in Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires,” he explains.

In another position with Google, Oscar was responsible for a wide range of initiatives, such as identifying scaling improvements to risk detection algorithms and leading organizational design and change management initiatives.

Oscar has also worked as a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, the management consulting firm serving commercial and government clients worldwide. As part of the strategy practice, Oscar helped clients solve a wide-range of issues in the aerospace, financial services, and federal government markets.

Oscar earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from the City University of New York and an MBA from the University of Virginia – Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

He is a member of consulting, opportunity consultants and entrepreneurship clubs, and a Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management Fellow
