Nevada students attending one of the state’s four community colleges can get help paying for up to three years of tuition and mandatory fees. According to the College of Southern Nevada, a new funding cycle for the Nevada Promise Scholarship was approved by the state legislature in June 2019. The Nevada Promise Scholarship aims to make a college education more accessible and affordable by providing last‐dollar financial aid.
A College of Southern Nevada update says the Nevada Promise Scholarship application is due on or before Oct. 31, 2019.
October is College Application Month in Nevada and several events have been scheduled at various host high schools to assist with college applications.
The Nevada Promise Scholarship is available to Nevada students attending College of Southern Nevada, Great Basin College, Truckee Meadows Community College, or Western Nevada College.
