Latinas in STEM is partnering with the Alexander D. Sullivan School and Jersey City Public Schools to host the 4th Annual Latinas in STEM 101 Conference in Jersey City, New Jersey. Keynote talks will be delivered by Latinas in science. technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers. Students in grades 3-8 are eligible to participate.
Latinas in STEM 101 is a series of workshops developed by the Latinas in STEM Foundation and focused on inspiring students to pursue STEM fields. Throughout the event, parent sessions will take place alongside a College/Career Expo. Parent sessions will be held in English and Spanish.
The purpose of the expo is to expose students and parents to colleges and careers in STEM, with hands-on activities and workshops exploring the STEM fields, personal stories by current professionals in STEM fields, and information sessions. The conference is FREE to attendees.
