From September 15 to 19, the Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS), which has over 100 student and professional chapters on college campuses, will honor its postdoctoral researchers and host a town hall meeting focused on improving support for postdoctoral researchers and scholars.
During one interactive professional session, participants will learn about effective science communication strategies designed for broader audiences. This year’s theme is “Communicating Your Science.”

From October 2 to 4, Great Minds in STEM will host GMiS Conference 2025 in downtown San Diego under the theme “STEM4All.”
Academic hosts include the Computing Alliance of Hispanic-serving Institutions, the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and California State University, San Bernardino. Last year, more than $160,000 in scholarships was awarded to hundreds of students, with 123 entries in the research poster competition.
Also from October 2 to 4, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society will host the AISES National Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This year’s theme, “We Are All Scientists,” aims to inspire and engage attendees while focusing on educational and workforce development in STEM fields.
AISES encourages every hug, high-five, and word of encouragement, emphasizing the strength of community. The National Conference will celebrate Indigenous brilliance in STEM and beyond, featuring over 300 exhibitors from tribal organizations, colleges, and STEM companies.
Celebrating 30 extraordinary years, the WOC STEM Conference will take place in Baltimore, Maryland, from October 23 to 25. This anniversary event will offer engaging discussions, career opportunities, and unique networking events.
Later this year, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers will hold its SHPE 2025 National Convention from October 29 to November 1 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Future conventions are already planned for Salt Lake City, Denver, and Indianapolis.
