Earlier this year, the US Latino Digital Humanities Center announced summer internship opportunities for University of Houston students.
No experience in digital humanities is required, but near-native Spanish reading and writing knowledge is preferred.
Applicants must be current University of Houston undergraduates.
The internship dates are May 20 to July 2, June 24 to August 5, and June 2 to July 11.
The 19-hour-a-week internships (125 hours total) aim to expose students to archival research, best practices, digital scholarship, and tools, US Latino DH methodology, and research approaches.
These skills will help interns pursue academic careers and introduce them to a network of scholars, practitioners, and community members.
The program offers both professional and intellectual formation. Internships take place at the University of Houston’s Technology Bridge Annex.
