HSI to mark its 75th anniversary this fall

California State University, Long Beach, has announced that it will host its 75th Anniversary Kickoff Concert in September.

The event aims to celebrate the numerous contributions of students, alumni, faculty, staff, philanthropists, and community partners who have supported 75 years of growth and innovation. 

Currently, Cal State Long Beach has an enrollment of around 38,000 students and employs over 3,600 people. 

The Kickoff Concert is scheduled to include alumni meetups, a display of campus memorabilia, food trucks, and a performance possibly featuring future students. 

The alumni community is estimated to be over 400,000 strong. 

The 75th Anniversary Kickoff Concert is set for 3 to 8 p.m. on September 28. 

Earning the prestigious 2023 Seal of Excelencia in September 2023, California State University, Long Beach, has joined a distinguished group of colleges and universities recognized for their commitment to Latinx student success. 

Additionally, California State University, Long Beach, is scheduled to receive its Hispanic Serving Designation in Fall 2025.
