The Arlington Schools Hispanic Parents Association (ASHPA) in Virginia has announced the third annual Hispanic Heritage Community Festival. The event will take place on Saturday, September 7.
ASHPA has partnered with the Arlington County Police Department, Arlington County Sheriff’s Office, and Arlington County to host the family event along with music, popcorn, snow cones, and an opportunity to meet and chat with county staff and Arlington’s community leaders.
On September 8th, the annual Takoma Park Folk Festival in Takoma Park, Maryland, will include sounds of Afro-Latin fusion as dozens of artists perform on six stages.
The juried craft show will feature handcrafted items, including fiber, fine art, jewelry, and more.
The festival includes food from around the world, children’s activities, and tables with non-profit community representatives.
In Virginia, the Arlington Public Library, in collaboration with the Encanto Dance Team, will host weekly beginner-level Latin dance classes starting on Tuesday, September 10.
The 2024 Festival Latinoamericano will be held on Friday, September 27 at the Arlington Mill Community Center.
