The Hispanic Heritage Foundation is currently receiving applications for its Youth Awards. The awards honor Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community, as well as in areas such as education, healthcare & science, sports, and technology.
According to the foundation, gold, silver, and bronze award winners in each category receive a one-time grant to fund their college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue.
Once selected, recipients become part of the HHF network of more than 200,000 professionals serving America’s priorities in the classroom and workforce.
The Youth Awards program is the main pipeline to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF), which supports young people through the Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program as they transition from high school to college, to graduate school, and into their careers.
Applicants for the Youth Awards must be enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2021.
They should have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale, enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2021-2022, and attend the virtual regional awards ceremony.
